Playground: Shipton under Wychwood

We are working with Shipton under Wychwood parish council and the local community on the design and specification of a new village playground. Substantial funds have been raised to introduce new equipment catering for both older children and toddlers.

Our design draws on the Wychwood Forest, once a royal forest and hunting ground which covered this area: natural and local materials are to be used (green oak from local woods, boulders from local quarries), also local craftsmen (contractors, stonemasons, artisans). Project under construction, due for completion spring 2011.

Project is now complete and the playground was opened by the Prime Minister, David Cameron, on the 16th September 2012.
